Eco Ninjas’ partnership with Northumbria Healthcare’s Manufacturing & Innovation Hub.
 

We have been working with the hub, part of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, for over a year. We have combined our passion for patient safety and sustainability with Northumbria’s knowledge, skills, and expertise to manufacture the best range of personalised operating theatre hats for the UK.

The hub is ran by Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of the trust. It is focused on driving improvements within healthcare services and patient care through the production of improved products. Any profit made is directly reinvested back into patient care.

Northumbria Healthcare’s hub produces a range of products and services that go beyond everyday PPE, offering upholstery, reusable theatre wear, and embroidery services.

 

The ‘outstanding’ ethos applies to their production activities and with unique access to a workforce of healthcare professionals, all items produced are co-designed and tested at every stage of the product development, allowing for real time feedback to achieve the best results.
